This wonderful RARE item is the FINAL weekend update poster

before ALDWYCH STATION closed to passengers on 30.09.1994 .The station (along with lots of other changes) is still shown on the map for the FINAL TIME!

(This poster is clearly dated 23.9.94)

 This original and genuine L.U official printed poster shows the station closures due to engineering work at stations across London. This is normal and happens even now, but today we use webpages,Email,APPS etc.

Dimensions as shown. It is laminated and still rolled, never having been used. It has a peel off backing, but this has since dried up.So probably wont stick.

ALDWYCH STATION history: A terminal station on a shuttle spur on the Piccadilly line. Accesible via street level or at the other end at Holborn station.

Opened in 1907 and closed in 1994, this was opened for the anticipated use by theatre patrons. Ultimatley closed in September 1994 when the cost of the the lift replacement proved too costly, when the footfall at the station didnt justify it.

Now a closed and disused station, used for filming, training(and occasionally tours). A time capsule.
