Condition:

Condition is very good. Light edge wear to covers (buffing). Front - clean artwork with no deliberate marks; bottom front corner very small crease across; light vertical reading crease at spine edge. Spine - buffing to edges, head & foot; titles are clean/clear; light reading creases. Back - clean with no deliberate marks; bottom front corner large diagonal crease across. Inside - pages are clean with no deliberate marks and light medium tanning.

Note: This covers the Purchase Price and not what the Buyer (or any third party) thinks the item might be worth. As a rule, Claims can be difficult to resolve when items are lost or damaged. 4. As a Private Seller I am unable to refund the cost of any loss or damage out of my own pocket. Thus the P&P, quoted in the listing, always covers the appropriate compensation charges for loss or damage by the carrier. I pack very carefully and am pleased to say that this happens very rarely.
5. I am happy to combine shipping costs when multiple items are purchased at one time.

In February 2021 a valuable hardcover was damaged in the post (the dustjacket was torn by a few inches, thus de-valuing the item) and, needless to say perhaps, the customer was not too well pleased. The item was insured for up to £1000 and I raised a claim for £250, the cost of a professional repair. Photographs were provided as part of the claim process (before and after the damage), however this was to no avail. Royal Mail would not pay for the damages because the packaging was not kept by the customer. Although this has only happened to me a couple of times, in all the years I have been selling my collection, the message is absolutely clear. If you receive an item that looks damaged, please photograph it immediately before opening. Then open the package carefully and keep it [the packaging] to one side. If the contents are intact and as described on the listing then all is well. If however there is damage to the item then please [also] take pictures of that. Contact me immediately and I will take it from there (i.e. raise a claim) once you have provided the relevant evidence. Put the item and its packaging safely to one side for further examination as appropriate.

International Customers please note:

• I will post worldwide if the listing quotes appropriate international postage (or occasionally by request).
• I only show 4 International rates (Royal Mail Tracked) on my listings and do not cater for every weight, postage method and eventuality. They are generally as follows:
  • Europe - is now (from April 2023) split into 4 Zones and the highest priced Zone will normally be shown on every listing;
