Opening of Mail Boat Service. Lübbenau is a small town in the Spree Forest, an UNESCO biosphere reserve. For more than 100 years, postal delivery has been carried out by small boats from April to October (motor boats are prohibited). Lubnjow is the Sorbian name of Lübbenau.
