Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1982 Sidney Lumet Drama THE VERDICT, based on the novel by Barry Reed, with a screenplay by David Mamet and starring Paul Newman, Charlotte Rampling, Jack Warden, James Mason, Milo O'Shea, Lindsay Crouse, Ed Binns, Julie Bovasso and Roxanne Hart.
A cracking courtroom drama, with very adroit and polished performances from Newman as a failed lawyer given a last chance to redeem himself and Mason as the old smoothie he takes on in a case of hospital malpractice.
Poster art by John Alvin (1948 - 2008). An American cinematic artist and painter who illustrated many movie posters. Alvin created posters and key art for more than 135 films, beginning with the poster for Mel Brooks' Blazing Saddles in 1974.
The poster is in very good folded condition.
