Sorry, I misled you - life is hard sometimes and they do ask for advice and they do listen ... we just have a good laugh along the way

You are lucky to have such nice understanding children . . . Mind you they would probably hate being called "KIDS".
As for me? I know where I'm at. And most of the time I'm happy with my lot. Thing is I get cheesed off with peeps who think they know what's good and better for me, as if they would know.
They don't mind - they are my babies

I am 68 soon and my idea of fun is a rock/blues/jazz band, a visit to a theme park,a nice day out somewhere.I went to our local OAP tea afternoon and apart from being treated like a 3 year old what was on offer was a puppet show a visit to a garden with tea and a film about cats. Not been back.
Reincarnation is just another repeat
I do agree with you to an extent but were we not the same when we were their age.
I am not sixty and I have the same problem sometimes with the younger age group, especially when trying to warn them against doing something they may regret later.. I get that look "what would you know" as if I had never been their age and had fun.

Sounds grim - the OAP bit I mean - never be ready for that.
I plan to stay independent - if nec grocery shop on line, get everything delivered - and if I go ga-ga I wouldn't know and won't care
