Is it unethical to sell books that are given away free with magazines?

Hi, that could be kinda touchy...depends on how you feel about....what's right for you. I would think though that once it is yours, you can do whatever you want with it. I'm sure others will give their opinions too...just hold on a bit.
Hi Jan,
Yes certainly. In the UK, magazines like Cosmopolitan and similar, often give paperback books away (as well as lipsticks etc) with the magazine. They come in the plastic wrapper with the magazine and on the back of the book it usually says something like "promo copy, not for resale".
What's unethical? If someone gave you a blouse, or you bought one, and you didn't like it, you could resell it.....no prob..........

Hum. Kettle of fish, now......if it says not for resale. Guess you could give them away with other items you sell.....as a freebee.....

Aaaah now that's a tricky one. However, you could 'throw in' a free promo paperback on some of your items you are selling (perhaps up the price a little to compensate) and stating they are not for resale?
I know your trying to make money like all of us, but be careful you don't end up in jail
Thanks Jan. Jail not a good idea! lol.
