Thread: Oh Dear! I can see why some sellers can't sell their stuff!!

  1. #1

Thumbs down Oh Dear! I can see why some sellers can't sell their stuff!!

I have just been browsing . Looking for something warm, bright and "Hippy" to cheer me up now the days are getting grey and drear.

I have found lots of things when I searched for" Hippy" or "Boho"
Then realised that I was skimming over all the items which didn't have a picture, even those I could click on to make the picture appear.
It's late in the day. My brain is tired. My patience short.

I just couldn't be bothered to click on those little cameras!!

If I feel like that, as an avid eBidder, whatever will new prospective buyers think? Over on the dark side pretty well every item has a gallery picture.

When will these sellers learn No picture..No Sale!!

This week's news that eCrater are launching over here in the UK means that the competition will be heating up and that sellers who do not use appropriate selling techniques might get left behind.

Count me in. I'm also a lazy buyer browser who clicks on listings with thumbnails. Those without thumbnails lose out.

And me too - when I'm browsing I like to be able to see the pic without having to go into the item. In truth, its the pics that I look at before the item title. If I like the look of the item from the pic, then glance at the title and go into the item for the details. If there's no pic its like having a shop with the windows boarded up.

i have to agree with you all on this one! i become numb to the listing without pics unless i am looking for a specific thing and there are only a few listing for that item but even then i am more likely to purchase from the person with the pic

I have been known to look at a 'no thumbnail picture' listing, but it doesn't happen often. OK, you pay aFVF, but that really isn't much compared to other places even if thoses little pics are automatic (and they haven't always been so)
