    Default Paypal micropayments

Paypal have an option for micropayments, which charges less for item payments less than £4 including P&P.

It seems, for the UK at least, that the option is only available when you are selling items from your own website, and cannot be used for Ebid.

    Has anyone found differently?

Bill, I'm sure I signed up for the micropayment option on the other side.

In fact, it was recommended on one of the boards over there.

I certainly didn't experience all that palaver otherwise I would have given up.
However, I have just looked at my PP account and can find no way of seeing if I was actually registered for micropayments.

I have been trying to subscribe to micropayments, but the paypal website just comes up with ERROR.

I had given up, however, today I received an email:

Thanks for applying for micropayment pricing. We’ve finished processing your request and have changed your pricing to the micropayment rate. The new pricing will be applied to any payments you receive, regardless of the transaction size.
If you would like, you may have your account returned to the standard payment processing rates. To opt out of micropayment pricing, you can contact customer service by taking the following steps:
    1. Log into your PayPal account by accessing the PayPal website 2. Click on the 'Contact Us' link located at the bottom of the page 3. Next, click on the 'Contact Customer Service' link on the Help Center homepage 4. Select 'Sending/Receiving Money' as a topic, then 'PayPal Fees' as a subtopic 5. Summarize your request and click 'Continue'
    6. Use the 'Additional Information' text box to submit your request and click 'Continue'
Once your request has been processed, we’ll email you to confirm that your account was returned to the standard payment processing rates.
    Thank you,
    PayPal

I have had exactly the same problem. I got the same Email about an hour ago, checked my PayPal Account.
The last 3 payments recieved have been at the 5% + 5p Micropayment rate.

Great for the low cost items I sell.
