No, Paypal isn't compulsory, you can use whichever payment method you're comfortable using. I use Paypal as it's easy for me and relatively easy and acceptable to buyers, but if it isn't your cup of java, many use Google Checkout, Moneybookers/Skrill and others.
Oh and welcome to eBid.
Best wishes for many sales to all,
Just to correct an misunderstanding I am just a buyer not a seller, its just I prefer using paypal to buy for a bit more protection.
I had been searching on ebay for an item for ages, decided to try here (last time I came a few years ago nothing) but this time I found just what I wanted and in loads of different colours as well. So I am going to be hanging around ebid a bit more in the future. Thank you to the friendly ones that welcomed me as I was a bit disheartened by the sarcasm I was originally met with on another thread.
Almost anything goes (within reason) as far as my payments are concerned. I take Pay Pal (but don't like their charges), Money Bookers (Very good and cheap) cash, cheques, euros etc. Most people have Pay Pal, but there is nothing to say that
you must have it.
