Default Add email address to listings

Hi there, i'm a new eBid seller and as part of my listings i need my email address in there so that my customers can contact me to let me know what personalisation details they require (i sell personalised invitations). I see now that eBid is removing the email address from my listings.

Is there some other way people can message me their requirements?

    Thanks,
    Andy

    Edited to add:
I see now that email addresses are not allowed in listings - this is going to be a problem for me as my business depends on customers being able to contact me. :/

If a person is genuinely a buyer and has pressed the "Buy It Now" button or won one of your auctions, eBid will send that person a message including your email address. You will also receive an email from eBid giving you the buyer's email address.

My guess is that auction sites including others don't allow direct email addresses in listings as this would contribute to off-site sales and fee avoidance. There is no need to do that here with the very low final value fees, and off-site sales harm all of us on eBid by decreasing traffic. No offense meant. I'm only contributing my general thoughts.

They can use Ask Seller a Question on any listing before they buy. Once a sale is made you get each other's email address, though you can still use the message system if you prefer.

Thanks for the replies. TexasAda, 'other' auction sites do allow it, i've been doing it for the last 7 months. Most of my buyers contact me through email before and/or after sales due to the amount of personalisation i have to do. It's a pretty essential part of what i do, it's fast and it's easy.

If they get my email after a sale is made then i guess i will have to re-word my ad's to something like 'please contact me with your personalisation details after checkout'?

    Thanks for your help.
