I watched pretty amazing what they do
Truly amazing. The dedication alone puts a lump in my throat.
I'm not sure I understand what/why they are trying to move though. Is it a situation where 4 minutes closer would have helped this disaster or is the area frequent to accidents?
They're actually looking to upgrade from their current, temporary station... more explanation here: http://www.cowes-lifeboat.org.uk/news.htm
Very touching video; they are doing an amazing job. Actually I'm not surprised they are volunteers. I firmly believe that there is no "job or need" that can not be done with full commitment through volunteers. Many of the social ills facing many locations around the world could be addressed if volunteers were properly trained and dispatched to meet the needs of their communities locally and abroad.
