Should silver U.S. Coins be in bullion category?
Should silver U.S. Coins be in bullion category?
I would put them in COINS: USA: Denomination (whichever they are)......not bullion......their value could well be higher as coins. As a collector, that is where I would look for them.
Ta-Ta for now!

Depends. If the silver coins are bullion, like American Eagles, they can go in "bullion" and/or "coins" or "silver dollars". I have some American Eagles listed now in both categories (bullion & silver dollars).
I list my silver quarters and silver half dollars in the actual coin denomination, but describe it as "silver quarter", etc. in title and description.
The Main Category (eBid) is "Coins & Banknotes" for all of it.

Out of curiosity, I did a search under buillion and silver dollars; found my items in both.
Was interesting to note in "silver dollar" category I was on page 5 of the search. This is where many of the items were listed. The seller"s listings on the first 2 pages also seemed to be the sellers whose items I see most of the time. Same pattern I noticed on the bay, in regards to visibility of listings. May have some bearing as to why some sellers sell more here and there. Also noted that use of keywords in the title was not the only factor in placement of the listings, as the keywords were being used throughout. Makes me wonder what other factors are determining placement of the listings.
P.S. On the bay, it tends to be relatively clear what factors impact placement, ie, offerring free s/h, starting at low bid, higher DSRs, etc. I wonder what eBid's factors are for improved placement on the searches.
