police corruption?
Given that the present situation in Iraq has grown out of the situation created by the British invasion of Iraq and out of British resource support for opposition groups in neighbouring Syria, I think that the British Parliament has a moral obligation to debate what is going on in Iraq now and to see what problem solving it can come up with to sort out the mess that the UK has helped to create. I think that there is a democratic deficit here in the UK when David Cameron will not recall Parliament over this.
I thought we'd just spent the last ten years arming and training the Iraqi army.
Wasn't the idea that the Iraqis would look after Iraq's security?
