GP checks mine every so often
From what I read that seems to happen frequently Bill, with the USA banning food stuffs that are allowed here. I can't make up my mind whether it is that their standards are higher than ours, or if it is the fact that folks are more likely to be sued over there if things go wrong.

I'll try not to be too snarky (or political) as this is a subject that has irritated me for many years - but the truth of the matter is that Big Pharma has way too much political pull here. (As of 2017, 3/4th of the Food & Drug Administration budget (approximately $700 million) is funded by the pharmaceutical companies due to the Prescription Drug User Fee Act) and since a natural substance can't be patented (and make them money) there is a lot if intended mis-information floating around over here regarding supplements.
Case in point - there are a lot of health issues that would benefit from the ability to use medicinal marijuana but it still remains a Federal crime to do so. At my last remembered count, there are 26 states that allow it and although the Feds have done nothing to stop them, they technically are in violation of Federal law - good for them!! "Kinda funny" though, that there are also a lot pf pharmaceutical companies trying to make a "synthetic" version of it - ROTFLMBO! IF they ever do, you'll see medicinal marijuana become legalized in all states - as long as it comes from a pharmacy! And I still wouldn't trust them if they said it was just as pure and safe as the stuff you can grow in your backyard - they will put something in it to keep people sick so they can keep on making more money. I see commercials on TV for the "latest & greatest" new drugs that have been created and the list of warnings and side affects takes more time to listen to than the purpose & benefits of the new drug. That's scary!!
Back to B-12 - I just read this article the other day (gleaned from the UK) on a website I regularly consult - http://www.naturalnews.com/2017-09-07-4-essential-supplements-your-body-really-needs.html
WARNING if you go to the site - when Mike Adams repatriated from Venezuela a couple of years ago, he started adding politics to his health information. IMHO - he should have just stuck to being the "Health Ranger" and left politics out of it and stayed a health expert. My WOT (Web of Trust) app used to have his site coded green, but since he started in with the politics there have been a lot of "brainwashed sheeple" (or maybe the pharmaceutical companies) who have reported the site as being too controversial and it's been downgraded to yellow - but it is a totally safe site to go to for health info for those of us who are aware of the direction that we've been heading towards over here with health care. About 1/3 the way down the page in the middle column, he does have some good references.
Hope I haven't offended anybody, but there are a few of us over here that are not brainwashed and like to think for ourselves So keep on taking your B-12 - I do!

HI Elizabeth.
Thank you, nice to see you are still here too. Hope all is well with you apart from the problem with your feet, doesn't sound very nice. I hope the B12 helps. Were you prescribed any B12 or did you buy tablets or mixed vitamins? Sorry if I appear to be being nosey, not my intention. And of course you do not have to answer that, especially on here if you do not wish to. I am just interested and also curious as to what peoples experiences are or have been, because I have been led to do some extensive research on it all and was quite blown away by what I learnt about this rather important vitamin...
I hope you can all read this, whoever is interested as I am not sure how to do links on this computer.
( Cheaver kindly taught me on my last one)
I was just trying to post the bit about the list of symptoms in particular which should show up in the file if Ive done it correctly, hopefully.

Yep, Sal, B12 does the job nicely.
Bought over the counter as told by GP - I bought pure B12 as GP insisted on this. I bought the 500 strength - but found that half that every other day or so is enough for me. (More than that = diarrhoea.)
Mine is an injection if i need it, i have only ever had one, and was told not to waste money on vit B complex
