Dry Here, blighting up, The big Yellow ball might appear
Somewhat cooler than this time last week. Add to that a north-west wind with a real bite to it. Short, sharp showers all day often with graupel (small white hail - barley sized) Hail demonstrates a degree of convective activity with this system. A few minutes ago, we had a rumble of thunder and the lightening scanner shows that I was not mistaken. Far too cool for any serious convective showers but nevertheless some pfeople will get a clap or too of thunder with the graupel. Connected to two low pressure systems, one in the south and the other off to the north west tracking north east. Temps set to climb a bit but the warmer weather of last week wont return for a week or more.
weatheronline.co.uk is a good, reliable source. The forecast below is from them
Monday
Monday starts mostly dry and bright away from western areas. It will be a cloudy start to the day for Ireland while western parts of the UK could see wintry showers persisting first thing. Showers should ease through the morning though cloud will build from the west bringing rain and gales to Ireland, western Scotland and western parts of Wales through the afternoon. Through the evening rain and very strong wind will reach western parts of England and much of Scotland and Wales too. There could be some particularly heavy rainfall for western Ireland and southwest Scotland. Further snow will fall on the hills of Scotland. High temperatures at 5 to 10C.
Monday Night
It will be very wet and windy overnight from Monday into Tuesday. The heaviest rain will fall over western Wales, southwestern Scotland and northwestern England. Rain will likely affect most areas but will be lighter in the south and east. Winds gusting to gale force or stronger across the UK and Ireland. Overnight lows staying above freezing at 3 to 7C.

Sunny. Mild. Some people would think it is cold. It's nice for this time of year. It's all relative.
