    Love getting my hands in the dirt planting - just not able to do it as much due to my back and knees

    Gardening is good for the soul....just not always the old bod!
    Police....you have an adventurous life! We had a bat in the living room once, when we lived in the country. And an owl came down two different chimneys at two different times. And voles, and mice and birds.....a bit of a zoo sometimes! Keeps life interesting.

    Hope everyone is doing well.
    Ta-Ta for now!

    Just dropping by to say hi to you all

    I found out this week that I can phone the company I am registered with for retirement housing and book a room in one of their places for when I visit friends and family down in Gosport.

    I am now saving like mad to visit Gavin and Annie next year x

    We are having a heat wave.
    For 4 days that the temperature has been in the 80's and 90's with over 58% humidity.
    Slow moving when it comes to working outside.

    So far, my gardening client's #1, #2, #3, #4, #5 are completely done.
    #6 needs to have gardens mulched and some plantings
    #7 needs to have plantings done.
    #8 Needs to be started

    The last 2 hot days, I was taking pictures of tools of a retired home remodeler and listing them on Craigslist to sell for him.
    It was too hot for him to continue, but I do have a lot of items to get listed.

    * * * * * *
    * * * * * * *

    Now to the latest episode of the cats.
    ( remember finding Milo under the car - thought I hit him > > (POST #67090)
    ( remember finding a bat in the kitchen - Fletcher caught him )

    Now:
    * Remember that when I go to bed, Fletcher would bring his toys to bed and he gets a treat for each toy.
    * Fletcher hadn't played the night time game.
    * Then, at 3:30am I am being awaken to all the jumping on my bed. I figured he is in a good mood and playing with his toy.
    Then Fletcher pawed at the covers. I lifted the covers for him and he threw his toy in . . .
    . . .
    . . . .
    his toy decided to run down the side of my body.
    I hopped out of the bed so fast to see a LIVE mouse under my covers and followed by Fletcher.
    I flipped the covers back and got the mouse out and Fletcher followed it.

    Yup, no exciting things happen at my house.

    I had a very friendly chat with the people at Anchor Housing

    The waiting list is is only 20 or so people long for flats near to Southampton Hospital and Gosport is only a train ride and a short ferry trip away.

    There were more than 100 people ahead of me for their places in Gosport

    My daughter and I haven't seen each other since December 2013

    That's a long time not to see your kid. I hope some move makes it more possible. If you move to flats near the hospital, can you still be on the list for Gosport, as there may be a time when you want to be there, but not make the train and ferry ride.

    My health has deteriorated to a level now that I need to live close to a hospital with the right support for me. If I was living in Gosport the ambulance would leave me at QA hospital in Cosham in Portsmouth to be assessed. If anything goes wrong and I need to be in a specialist cardiology unit, then I would be moved to Southamptom. It makes sense to live closse to where I need to go for ongoing support.

    If I get ill enough to go to hospital now, I would be taken to the local Eastbourne hospital if there is room. I have already missed several hospital appointments because the nearest places I can be seen are in Hastings and Bexhill as the waiting list in Eastbourne is too long
