can't seem to purchase anything - Error System error c003423

When try to buy it now on any item I just get this error code after clicking the agreement to buy it now:

Error System error c003423. Please let us know if you continue to receive this message.

Any idea what it means?

Have tried two different machines, also chrome and Firefox and on and off a VPN, but still get it.

Is there a bid on the item? I think that a bid cancels the BIN facility.

No, I've tried it on a range of items, it's always the same error code whether it's buy it now or bid...

If I make an offer and it's automatically accepted, then I can purchase that way, but I get that error code for any buy it now items, even the same item for buy it now will return the error code but if I then make an offer I can purchase it that way. Odd.

It does seem odd that your offers are accepted but BIN doesn't work.

Sorry, but the only other thing I can suggest is contacting Support and asking them to look into it.

I think there is a "Contact Us" on the Home Page.
