Where can I get an advocate?

The person who can act as your advocate can be:

• Someone from charities and organizations that offer independent advocacy and support services
• Someone from your network of family and friends
• Yourself acting on your behalf & stand up for yourself– Please see our factsheet F37 on Self-Advocacy

I have already checked locally and there are no places here that will help with avocacy

I have a telephone interview with Adult Social Care next week but I don't hold out much hope with a successful outcome as I am now unable to process info from telephone conversations and would need an advocate here for the phone call which is due

East Sussex Council pay POhWER to do disability advocacy for them, so a call to 0300 456 2370 may help.

Thanks...I have bookmarked those sites and will get on to that after I have some idea of what kind of advocacy I need.

I don't have a support worker nor a social worker as I have been told I don't neeed support and my case has now been closed.

I apply to Adult Social Care every 6 months or so, but they haven't helped at all so far

Been busy with people's gardens. Finally had some time to work on my gardens.
I have been cutting down some of the gardens and letting the few items finish their blooming process.
I have the large garden to weed, but the ground is so hard. We need rain.

Finally have some free time and have been working down at the farm cleaning the barn.
* I have made 3 trips with scrap metal to the recyclers.
* The contractor that had all his "stuff" is out and left a lot of items.
Have all the items that he left moved towards the back of the barn so that I could get into the stalls.
* I have the 4 stalls on the left pretty much emptied and ready to organize items in them.
* I still have the other 4 stalls on the right to empty.

While cleaning up his "stuff", I found hidden an engine block ( too heavy to move ), a transmission and over 30 gallons of used oil in garbage can.
You wouldn't believe some of the items he "saved". - end cuts of wood, empty laundry detergent bottles, empty containers. I don't think he knew what a garbage can is used for.

Well . . .
I have today off and I am off to the farm to get some more clean up done.
I have to bring an extension ladder to get into the hayloft to clean up the racoon scat. Eeeewwwww !

My first thought was how beautiful the barn is inside!
However, I feel that I need a rest after just reading about your activity, policeq!

It is a beautiful barn.
It would be nice if all cleaned up and used for weddings and wedding receptions.

Once again, back at the farm and look what I pulled out and got cleaned up.



Got all the descriptions and measurements and going to place them for sale on Craigslist.
A friend of mine in Colorado would love to have the pink bathroom set. ( she loves pink )

I think I have been taking "ex-lax".
I seem to be on the go all the time.
