    Default Image uploads corrupted

    Hi,

Every time I upload images, they just show up as a vague coloured rectangle instead of the actual image. I've tried uploading on different browsers, and uploading different images made from different editors. The same thing happens, just an image with a colour background and no actual picture.

I've contacted support and had no reply, this is worrying as I'm not actually able to upload functional pictures now. As a paid seller, this is disappointing.

have you tried using the images in a listing? sometimes mine look odd in gallery but are ok in the listing.

And, if that doesn't work, you did email support@ebid.net?

May seem a bit obvious and my apologies if you have tried this.

It all depends upon the picture format ie its attributes. Is it in jpeg, or another acceptable image tformat. Is the image too high quality, large or memory hungry and so not manageable.

I don't think eBid has settings for image upload but may be worth a look in the q&a

I've specifically reduced the image size so it doesn't use much space. I've contacted the support email to see what they suggest.

A test source file .jpg was 1mb, but when uploaded shows only as 6kb. I think the problem seems to be occurring between the uploader and the image processing system.

Perhaps you could try the zip uploading method described in section 13 of https://www.ebid.net/uk/help/selling-on-ebid/

Though that faq needs updating. Snapagogo is defunct and has been for a long time.

I see you've had success with some of your pictures though. E.g. the PIC programmer has a couple of good ones. By the way, I think you'll be lucky to sell that, seems overpriced to me, such items are a lot cheaper now, unless that has some feature that's special. But good luck anyhow. Nice to see other electronics enthusiasts here.
