First, I'd like to express appreciation to eBid for their very prompt replies to my email asking for help. I was all set to wait forever (having had that experience with eBay) but voila! the replies came in quick and fast. Thank you guys!!
I'm posting the solution so that others who may find themselves in the same boat get an answer. Here's the HelpDesk response:
"Many thanks for the information. You registered with a UK address but from outside the UK - this is the reason we suspended your account. Please can you contact us when you are back in the UK by reply to this thread and we will review your account."
