I've been adding some new listings & revamping my book store.
I want to keep the Series that are written by lots of different authors (mainly the Sci-Fi Fantasy ones) separate but am having trouble descriptively naming the category. At the moments it's the rather uninspiring Science Fiction & Fantasy Series, but loads of Sci-Fi & Fantasy books are parts of a single author series so it's not really descriptive enough.
I mean stuff like Dungeons & Dragons/Forgotten Realms World of Darkness Warhammer, Star Trek Star Wars Dr Who etc.
I'm also in two minds whether to add stuff like Buffy & X-files to them or keep them sub-categorised under the genre Horror Supernatural & Paranormal.
There are so many crossovers with these sorts of books it's difficult to categorise some of them anyway, some of the White Wolf RPG ones are more horror than Sci-Fi/Fantasy.
I can't just put each book in the category for their genre as mine are all sub categorised by Authors name, & if it were me browsing I'd like to find them all together.
If you browse as opposed to just searching for what you want by name
where would you expect to find them?
While I'm asking, if you play RPG's where would you expect to find the Rulebooks in the eBid site categories, under
Books, Comics & Magazines : Books : Non Fiction : Games
or under
Toys & Hobbies : Wargames & Role Playing : Role Playing Games :
or do you think it would be better to request
Books, Comics & Magazines : Books : Non Fiction : Games
be split into sub categories to cover different types of games ie
Card Games
Board Games
RPG Games
Video Games
