AarrrggHHH! Help! My (valid) listings have just vanished!

The vast majority of my listings in the knife scales sections of my shop have simply vanished!!! They were fine last time I checked a couple of days ago, and I am sure they did not infringe on any laws/rules, etc, so there must be some problem somewhere.

I also notice that whereas before we had a Hiking and Camping category (under which I listed knife-making scales/handling materials - being sold mainly to bushcrafters) - we now only have a Hiking category in sports goods.

What on earth is going on?

Does this mean that I now have to go and physically reload literally hours of work to get these items back on sale? Whenever I have tried to use the bulk uploader - the countries have barfed - or some other category thing has failed - so every single one of these listings were put in by hand - representing many many hours of work.

This does not please me at all.

Can someone in admin/tech department PLEASE please please help me to get them restored? and get the categories sorted out so I have SOMEWHERE I can list my knife making/bushcrafting/falconry materials in a sensible fashion?

They've just banned all knife listings because they couldn't police them effectively enough to only remove illegal items.

I appreciate this is bad news for you- but it appears some sellers have been listing illegal knives, and it's better for ebid to comply with the law rather than deal with legal action, plus it's better that knives don't get into the wrong hands.

Just because the USA doesn't seem to have restrictions on the sales of guns knives etc, the UK does.
It had been mentioned before on the forums that some knives which were perfectly legal to sell in other countries, WERE illegal in the UK, such items should not have been listed as available to the UK. Maybe if some sellers hadn't kept breaking the rules this wouldn't have happened.
