Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1972 Waris Hussein Historical Drama HENRY VIII AND HIS SIX WIVES starring Keith Michell, Charlotte Rampling as Anne Boleyn, Donald Pleasence as Thomas Cromwell, Jane Asher as Jane Seymour, Lynne Frederick as Catherine Howard, Frances Cuka as Katherine of Aragon, Jenny Bos as Anne of Cleves, Michael Gough, Brian Blessed, Michael Goodliffe as Thomas More and Bernard Hepton.

On his deathbed, King Henry VIII looks back over his eventful life and his six marriages.

Poster art by Josh Kirby (1928 - 2001). A commercial artist born on the outskirts of Liverpool in the town of Waterloo, Lancashire he studied at Liverpool City School of Art from 1943 until 1948 and settling in London in around 1951. His professional freelance career started in the early 1950s when Kirby illustrated film posters for studios in both London and Paris. In the 70s, Kirby returned to film poster art for publicity agency FEREF. Working alongside designer Eddie Paul, Kirby depicted the characters for Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, The Beastmaster and Krull, among many others.

Poster design by Eddie Paul.. Eddie Paul was born in Hackney in 1920 and studied at Southend School of Art. He worked in various commercial art studios including Temple Art Studios, Star Illustration, Pulford Publicity and eventually becoming co-founder of Feref Associates in 1968.

The poster is in fine folded condition.
