1958 AUSTRALIA AIR MAIL S/C FIRST DAY CVR, Scott #257/302, ANPEX 1959 Cinderella

This lot consists of an opened, standard-size Air Mail envelope that was posted from Tighe's Hill, NSW, Australia on 14 July 1958. As noted on the cover, this was the first day of a 3d per half ounce surcharge for mail to the UK, Europe and Africa. The cover bears one each of Scott #257 (3 pence Elizabeth II) and #302 (2 shilling Aboriginal Art). There is a single ANPEX 1959 cinderella stamp on the back of the envelope. Cover is in good condition, with diagonal creases on one corner, but no fading or foxing. Item has sold previously for £4.
