Seller's Description

Rail (Enthusiast) September 1992. Issue No.182

Main features:

- News:  SLOA welcomes diesel owners with the lifting of the preserved diesel ban, Networkers to enter service this month, East Croydon station opens, Electric trains start to King's Lynn, Coal moves again along the Cadley Hill branch, but Parkside Colliery is to close, ScotRail withdraws night trains and Rail Management Services joins the growing list of up and coming railway operators.

- The Last Shed Master:  Alan Baker recalls his days as the last Shedmaster at ScotRail's Eastfield depot as RAIL's tribute to this once great depot, which is being run down for closure.

- Large Loco Liveries:  The ranks of BR locomotives painted in the once numerous 'large-logo' blue livery are being reduced to a mere handful. RAIL takes a lingering look at this livery variation, and traces its ancestry.
