An Antique
9ct Gold & Butterscotch Amber Cheroot/Cigar Holder
With A Solid Silver Case
The Case measures approx, 7cm Long by 1.8cm in diameter at the top, not including the suspension loop.
The amber holder is approx 6.6cm long.
Approximate weight of the silver case
(without the Amber holder) 13.4g.
Amber & Gold holder approx 8.1g.
The sterling silver case and the gold cigar collar bear the slightly rubbed manufacturer's mark "V&J"used by "Villiers & Jackson" one time of Hockley Hill Birmingham.
The 9ct gold collar of the Amber holder bears a full set of Birmingham 1911 (m) 9ct Gold hallmarks, whilst the case bears the Chester hallmarks for 1911 (L).
Very good general condition throughout.
Light teeth marks and a small nibble to the holder at the mouth piece.
The hinge of the silver case is firm and the lid closes securely.
