Portrait by Hollywood Photographer Clarence Sinclair Bull.
When Goldwyn merged with Metro in 1924 Clarence Sinclair Bull became head of the stills department and stayed there for over 40 years.
Charles Butterworth co-starred in several Hollywood films of the 30s and 40s including THE MAD GENIUS with John Barrymore; LOVE ME TONIGHT with Maurice Chevalier & Jeanette MacDonald; BULLDOG DRUMMOND STRIKES BACK with Ronald Colman; FORSAKING ALL OTHERS with Joan Crawford & Clark Gable and EVERY DAY’S A HOLIDAY with Mae West
The portrait, on heavyweight paper, is in fine condition with Bull’s stamp on the reverse.
