CLEOPATRA.

The legend of the beautiful Egyptian Queen Cleopatra has fascinated generations of people for hundreds of years. Numerous books and films have portrayed her in many different ways and she continues to hold fascination for the present day.

I too have been captivated by the legend of this most famous of Egyptian rulers and so I have created my own miniature hand crafted version of Queen Cleopatra.

Cleopatra stands approx. five and a half inches tall and is cast by me, from fine quality bisque porcelain in a tanned skin tone. I have dressed her in a pure crinkle-cotton robe in an ancient Egyptian style. Around her shoulders hangs a shawl of aqua coloured pure crinkle silk.  A fancy semi-circular collar embellished with braid, faux pearls and crystals is worn around her neck as was typical with this era of costume. Around her wrists and ankles are bangles made from braid and crystals and in her hand she carries a decorated fan.

Cleopatra’s black wig (also hand crafted by me) is braided with golden cord and topped with a jewelled filigree ‘crown’.

Underneath her robe, (for modesty!) she wears tan coloured above-knee leggings to cover the join between the porcelain and soft wired limbs. 

  This doll is approx five and a half inches tall.

This doll has a porcelain head, torso, lower arms, and lower legs with a wired, soft and partially pose-able body. This doll is an ornament intended for adult collectors and should not be given to children to play with.
