Seller's Description

Original British 17 inch x 11 inch Trade Advertisement for the 1940 Gregory Ratoff Comedy DAY-TIME WIFE starring Tyrone Power, Linda Darnell, Warren William, Binnie Barnes, Wendy Barrie and Joan Davis.

Linda Darnell and Tyrone Power play Jane and Ken Norton, a married couple approaching their second anniversary. This was Linda Darnell's second movie, at the age of 16. Day-Time Wife was the first of four films that Linda Darnell and Tyrone Power made together over the next few years, Brigham Young (1940), The Mark of Zorro (1940), Blood and Sand (1941).

The advertisement artwork is by A. “Jock” W. Hinchliffe.
Hinchliffe was born in Perth, Scotland. In 1953 he had a studio in Chalk Farm, North London, where he produced a series of six oil paintings as publicity for 20th Century Fox’s “The Robe”. He had been engaged by Fox in 1926 and produced posters and ads continuously for them, and for Disney, well into the 1960s.

The Advertisement is in fine condition.
