Original British 30 inch x 40 inch Quad Poster for the 1983 Brian G. Hutton World War I Aviation Thriller HIGH ROAD TO CHINA, based on the novel by Jon Cleary and starring Tom Selleck, Bess Armstrong, Jack Weston, Wilford Brimley, Robert Morley, Brian Blessed and Cassandra Gava.
During WW1, an alcoholic American biplane pilot is hired by the spoiled daughter of an industrialist to find her father who disappeared in Asia.
Poster art by Jean Mascii. Mascii was one of the most prolific French film poster artists of the second half of the 20th century creating over 2,000. He was born in Italy in 1926 his family then settled in France in 1932. He began work designing cinema facades and designed his first film poster for La Dame D'Onze Heures starring Paul Meurisse in 1947. He died in Paris in 2003.
The poster is in very good folded condition.
