When McCall’s suggested we design a jeans pattern, we were amazed. “Why would anyone sew jeans?”, we asked. All those pockets! All that top-stitching! Then we began to see why. Jeans are no longer $8 a pair - we just saw a pair of “designer” blue denims for $58! And not everyone is shaped nor sized like the designers think we are. It you have “thighus gigantus” as we do, if your waist is small in proportion to your hips, if your body cries “Ouch!” because the crotch is always too tight, then you know sewing jeans that will fit YOU is something that makes sense.

Our pattern has been designed with “in case” seam allowances - wider than normal seam allowances in problem fit areas - “in case” your body needs a bit more room. We’ll teach you to “fit-as-you-sew” using these wider seam allowances to fine tune the fit of each fabric on your body. That’s how we make our jeans fit YOUR waist, YOUR thighs and YOUR derriere!

A fashion bonus - two leg widths are included in this pattern. Choose from the pencil slim or the straight shapes. Just follow the stitching line of your choice. However, for your first jeans, you can always join the legs narrower during fitting to make sure the shape is flattering.

Another bonus - traditional jeans styling in our casual jeans skirt. For the person who is bored with jeans pants, for the occasion where a skirt would be more comfortable, try our great looking slim fitting skirt.

McCalls 7555 MISSES JEANS AND JEAN SKIRT: Top-stitched jeans with two leg widths and jean skirt with front vent have back yoke, back patch pockets, fly front zipper and buttoned waistband with belt carriers. Jeans A and skirt have front inset pockets and optional watch pocket. Jean studs are optional.

SUGGESTED FABRICS: Corduroy, Flannel, Poplin, Dock, China, Linen, Denim, Synthetic Suede, Velveteen, Safin, Woven Stretch Fabric. Use With Nap yardages and layouts for pile, shaded or one-way design fabrics. Additional fabric may be needed to match stripes, plaids, one-way designs.

NOTIONS: Thread, 9” Zipper, One 5/8” Button, Nine Jean Studs (optional). NOTE: Additional notions may be needed when using QUICK TIPS or PRO TIPS. Refer to SEWING GUIDE.

The pattern package weighs 2-1/2 ounces (75 gr). Shipping weight will be 100 grams.

The pattern envelope measures 8-1/8 X 6-1/4 X 1/2 inches (20.7 X 16 X 1.2 cm).

The pattern pieces are in new, unused condition. The envelope is in fair condition, with a small hole in the top and corner wear. (See pictures).

Don't you just hate it when you buy a pattern and there is a piece missing, or some pieces are cut to a smaller size then listed or worse yet some of the enclosed pieces are not even for the pattern you bought?

I have seen this with some of the patterns that I buy or that are given to me to sell.

That is why I take the time to inventory every piece of the pattern. I give you an accurate list of what is in the package, no surprises. And I will state in the listing if any pieces are missing. Also, whenever possible, I show pictures of the front & rear of the pattern envelope, the actual pattern pieces, the cutting guide and the size chart. The suggested materials and notion lists are also supplied in my listings.

Please Note that I ship patterns via Canada Post letter mail, in a plain envelope and the listed postage is for that method. My Patterns are stored in a plastic storage bags and they are shipped in the same bag (if weight allows) placed inside of a standard envelope. If you require any other packaging/shipping please let me know prior to paying for the item.

Of course, as always, I combine shipping and all stated postage includes free insurance.
