Original circa 1914 12 1/8 inch x 9 1/2 inch Etching titled MEAL-TIME

Woman feeding ducks outside her thatched cottage by the sea. With beacon and sailing ships in the background.

Initialled and dated (1871) in the plate.

Drawn an Etched by Robert Walker Macbeth (1848 - 1910). Macbeth was a Scottish painter, etcher and watercolourist, specialising in pastoral landscape and the rustic genre.

From “Modern Etching and Engraving: With Examples by Leading Artists” by Basil Hansard published as part works by Virtue & Co., 7 City Garden Row, City Road, London circa 1914
