This CD player is a Philips AX 2500 personal CD player, this has all of the feature that you'll need to replay your CD Discs reliably. The transport controls are made up of stop, play/pause, next track/fast search, last track/reverse search.
These buttons are fitted to the right side of the front panel. To the centre there is a LCD panel that displays the current track number, elapsed time etc.
To the left of this you'll find the secondary functions and these are a mode button that allows you to select the replay mode, this could be random play etc. Next to this is the DBB/ESP button, DBB is Philips own Digital bass boost system and by switching this on the low frequency performance can be enhanced. ESP is the company's name for Electronic shock protection, and it can be turned on or off. When turned off the players laser draws less power and this allows the Battery life to be extended and is suitable to be set in this position when the player is used in a stationary position.
The volume control is an electronic type, amd features two buttons one marked as up and the other as down. These control the output to the 3.5 mm mini earphone jack.

The player is powered by 2 X AA Batteries (not supplied) or alternatively it can be used with a 4.5 volt DC power supply (not supplied).

The sound produced by the player is excellent, and it reproduces all frequencies without any harshness. The stereo soundstage is deep and wide, and all instruments in the recording can easily be heard. There is no system noise, ad the player is quiet in operation. It will replay cdr discs without any issues and track access times are fast.

By looking at the supplied photos you'll notice that the player is in excellent condition, there are only the slightest signs of previous use. There is no damage whatsoever to the unit, and all buttons and functions operate smoothly and positively. This is a superb CD player, and looks ver attractive in its Black and mid blue colour scheme.
