Selections From The English Poets. With Steel Engravings. Rare Hardback Book.

A Beautiful old book, 'Selections From The English Poets' published by Darton of London. Unfortunately the front end papers have been removed so I don't know the date. I found another copy published by Darton & Hodge in 1856 so I presume this one would be earlier as it is Darton's name alone.
It has red cloth boards with lovely black and gilt decoration and the pages are gilt edged. It is illustrated with steel engravings. It has some foxing spots throughout and the spine is in need of restoration but still a lovely book. Length 17cms, width 10.5cms, 406 pages.
