Vintage 1970’s WH Smith Battleship Game – one pencil missing

• Weight: 84g
• Era: 1970’s
• Condition: Used and an unfinished game from the 1970’s is present on the board, but the marks can easily be wiped off and the ships etc reused. Black china-graph pencil missing and the red china-graph pencil needs some pencil sharpening. The box is in fairly good condition considering its age. A spare set of purple/pink vessels is included (unused).  See images for a full appreciation of the condition.
• Comments: In the 1970’s WH Smiths bookshop, UK, produced a series of mini board games. This one is Battleships and each player (only 2 players allowed) has 1 aircraft carrier, 2 battleships, 3 mine sweepers, 3 submarines, and 3 aircraft. Each board has a grid running from 1 to 20 and A to O. Three yellow islands are present on the board. As the game uses stickers for the vessels it can easily be played on the move e.g. whilst travelling or on holiday. To get this board game up and running again, you can either share the red pencil or find a spare black china-graph pencil. The last image included in the set of images is a 3D anaglyph. To view the can in 3D put on red and green glasses with the red filter over the left eye and the blue/green filter over the right eye. Sometime it helps to view the screen in a dark room with curtains drawn so as to minimize screen reflections.
