Seller's Description
Cancelled "Oak Park, Illinois, Sep. 25, 1905" with a bold flag cancel. Exceptionally clean and without creases or tears. Light corner and edge wear only.
This monument honored Civil War Veterans and was originally erected at the foot of the bridge in the middle of Main Street in Dayton. It was later moved to Riverside Park in order to improve traffic flow.
The reverse shown above exhibits the design of pre-1907 postcards with undivided backs for addressing only.
