Seller's Description
A Curteichcolor card, #D-16185, with color by Thompson, image #C.33 describes the scene as:
"One of the outstanding features of the Navajo Indians is their Sand Paintings. These are made by qualified medicine men in which many colors of sands are used, ground from colored rock. By the law of creation it is necessary that the sand painting be destroyed at the end of each day, otherwise it would be a sign of a very bad omen."
