Created for women, containing 4 strains of live colony-forming lactic acid bacteria, the probiotic Astarte restores and maintains the balance of vaginal and intestinal microflora. The vaginal ecosystem contains mainly lactic acid bacteria (lactobacilli). They preserve its physiological pH (between 3.8 and 4.5) and thus contribute to the correct balance in the intimate area. If the beneficial bacteria are missing, symptoms such as vaginal discharge, burning, pain and itching may occur. The intestinal tract acts as a reservoir for vaginal lactobacilli. Their oral intake helps maintain normal vaginal microflora and prevents disturbances in the function of the urogenital system.
