Rare fab vintage book from 1998 and a FREE DVD.
Examines the branch line from Harrow and Wealdstone to Stanmore Village via Belmont station.
Some wonderful pictures of the quaint country station, platform, the route, tickets, the station building, the goods yard and the trackbed and route (as it was in 1998).
Some great photos during and after line closure.
The book itself is in excellent condition + still perfectly readable,but it has been read.
60 b+w pages with a colour glossy cover. All pages are present, none missing, no tears, no writing anywhere.
Also a simple DVD showing some fascinating footage of the station platforms at
-Harrow and Wealdstone,
-Belmont and
-Stanmore Village.
Also shows wonderful amateur colour and B/W footage riding on the route, before-during and after closure, dereliction and the last train on the line. Includes a short news item on the use after closure. Includes footage of the demoltion and rebuilding of the station site at Stanmore Village and the (then) new housing estate built on the station site.
