Seller's Description

From the General Phonograph Corporation, circa 1923, though now part of the CBS-Columbia music family. A rich history surrounds this label founded by Otto Heinemann, who issued not only recordings similar to other companies, but also music for audiences in the German, Czech, Polish, Swedish and Yiddish communities neglected by others.

Offered here is a decently clean and clear sounding pair of 1940's Big Band sounds from Gene Krupa and his Orchestra.

A lot of gloss still shows through moderate play wear of light scuff marks and faint scratches. No cracks, chips, or skips. Some label fading on the first side.

Side LA 1764 presents the theme song of, "Apurksody", and side WC 2589 offers the swinging fox trot tempo of "Jungle Madness".
