Oregon Sunstone Labradorite Faceted Oval: Nice Red+Schiller; 10x6.5mm; 1.45cts

Drop-dead gorgeous cut with beautifully saturated cherry red and bright schiller streaks and sheets, this would make a great centerpiece gem for a ring, pendant, or other jewel design. The copper-bearing, transparent variety of labradorite is only found in the remote deserts of Oregon, and is that state's official gemstone. The schiller only appears when the stone is oriented to the light in just the right direction, then disappears. A special piece in red that will stand out in your collection or custom jewelry creation.

The photos were taken under natural light. The gem is brighter red and more sparkly in-hand, and what may appear to be windowing merely the result of the angle at which I was forced to shoot (in order to avoid making the gem look too dark). In some photos, colors are be picked up from the holder or other items in the background. The coppery sparkles show better in-hand than in most photos. The gem holder is not included. Item comes in the acrylic gem case as shown.
