Quyle Kilns - California Art Pottery Vase

A pre-owned handmade vase from Quyle Kilns. The vase has a classic pottery design shape with a wide neck, small flared rim, small foot & measures 3.25" (rim diameter) x 4" diameter (middle) x 4" tall. 12.75" in circumference (middle). The base is 2-5/8" diameter.
The main glaze colors are steel blue and a sienna or salmon color. The outside of the rim is solid blue while the main outside body is decorated with alternating stripes of blue steel and sienna. The inside glaze is white and tan with a steel blue glazed bottom.
The bottom of the vase is signed 'Quyle Kilns'. It weighs 15 ounces. I contacted Quyle Kilns and they confirmed it is one of their pieces.
The vase has a medium gloss finish inside and out. The vase is free from crazing, chips, or crack. There are no signs of useage.
This is a great example of contemporary California Pottery.
Established in 1954 by Paul & Joyce Quyle, Quyle Kilns is a family owned business producing finished art pottery as well as formulated clay materials for the pottery industry.
