Overall condition is acceptable. This is the 1946 first printing by Penguin Books. The front cover has moderate to heavy edge wear, creasing in the upper and lower right corners, edge chipping, a chip in the lower, right corner, and a tiny tear on the outer edge. The back cover has moderate to heavy edge wear, creasing across the cover in various locations, edge chipping, and a chip in the lower, left corner. The spine has some wrinkling and sun fading is evident. There is a clear strip of binding tape to secure tears and separated sections along the spine edge. The clear acetate coating has come away in some portions of the front and back covers. The first page has a tear in it and there is some evident foxing as well as discoloration of the pages due to age.
