After the successful launch of its Star Wars Card Trader (SWCT) mobile app, Topps decided to release a card set that utilized the same card designs as the Series 1 base card from SWCT. Star Wars Card Trader trading cards were released in 2016.

Intended to have a low price point for beginner collectors, this series had no premium hits guaranteed in its boxes. The autographs that were available were in fact, not autographs, but facsimile reproductions of digitally autographed cards.

The cards were printed on standard matte card stock with no foil embossing on the front. Although the design of the card is similar to the base series in SWCT, Topps used a new image for each of the characters. Information about each character was written on the back of the card.

Colour parallel versions had a different border colour. These colour variants also had a scratch-off redemption code on the back that could be redeemed for a ticket in the SWCT application. These tickets allowed players to redeem for the online versions of the cards. These codes have now since expired and are no longer valid.

The insert sets were the most popular set releases in SWCT from the past year. Also available in each box was a redemption card for a free pack of SWCT base cards. These redemption codes have also expired.

There are 100 base cards with 6 variant parallels.

• Blue (1 per pack, no numbering)
• Red (1 per 4 packs, no numbering)
• Green (# to 99 – 1 per 41 packs)
• Orange (# to 50 – 1 per 82 packs)
• Battle Damage (# to 10 – 1 per 406 packs)
• Slave I (# to 5 – 1 per 4041 packs)

Insert sub-sets

6 insert sub-sets were also available with no parallels. Only the Topps Choice set had redemption codes to redeem digital versions of the insert.

Premium Hits

The only premium hits or “rare” hits are the digital autograph cards. There are 20 cards in total with each having 2 variants. These autograph cards were difficult to find and had redemption codes on the back to redeem for the SWCT versions of the card.

Payment, Shipping and Processing

• PayPal is the only accepted form of online payment. Payment will need to be received within 5 days of receiving the invoice. We will only ship to the PayPal verified address.
• Cash is also accepted when choosing the local pickup option only. Select the Other payment type when checking out.
• Only shipment methods with delivery confirmation are available. Please wait for a combined invoice before payment. Buyers in the Greater Toronto Area can choose to pick it up locally (arranged on an individual basis).
• Combined shipping is available with other items ordered within a 48-hour period.
• The item will ship within 3 days once payment is received and tracking # provided. If you have an issue with payment, please contact us, otherwise a non-payment action will be raised.
• Item(s) will be packaged securely to prevent damage.
• Returns are accepted under certain conditions (ie not as described, etc). Buyer pays return shipping and the item must be in the same condition as it was shipped.
