Toronto Ontario Canada Souvenir Teaspoon Tea Spoon Toronto Skyline 4-3/8" long
I acquired this spoon from an estate sale.
The front of the stem of this spoon says "Toronto" in raised letters down the stem. THe bowl of the spoon has a raised picture of the Toronto skyline.
The spoon is stamped "Made in Canada" on the rear of the stem.
The spoon measures 4-3/8 inches (11.2 cm) long X 1 inch (2.4 cm) wide (At the widest part of the spoon bowl) and weighs 12 gr.
The spoon is in fair condition with light surface scratches and some wear to the finish. (See pictures).

The history of Toronto began in the late 18th century when the British Crown purchased its land from the Mississaugas of the New Credit. The city was ransacked in the Battle of York during the War of 1812. In 1834, York was incorporated as a city and renamed Toronto. It was damaged in two huge fires in 1849 and 1904.
