Seller's Description
Genuine Vintage 9ct Gold MC Engraved Slave Bangle
Hello there and welcome (kroeso) to my wee store.
I sell online in high-end shops and websites and pre-Covid used to attend trade fairs around the globe. I have a huge stock of "bargain basement" items which were great at fairs for inexpensive extras but not so great for online sales as the effort listing negates the income.
I am retiring from trade fairs now so am starting to list some of my more expensive items all at bargain prices.
ABOUT THIS BANGLE
Constructed from solid 9ct yellow gold (375 parts per 1000) with a bronze core (see below for more information)
Fully assay marked as 9ct Bronze Core
Dates to middle part of the 20th Century c1950s.
Has a lovely detailed Greek key engraving all the way round.
The pattern extends all the way around.
Classic slave design to slip straight over the wrist.
In very good condition, fully wearable.
Width across is 6.2 mm.
Max length is 8.6 Inches (inner circumference)
Weight: 18 grams rounded up to nearest
CONDITION: All of my bangles are in good wearable condition. I test all clasps and ultrasonically clean before dispatch. If you want your bangle to be polished to "as new" I can do this for a small additional fee.
METAL / BRONZE CORE: Over the decades I have bathed many many kilos of old gold items in acid to purify the gold content back to 24ct. The older methods did not use thin plates of gold like today's plating but used solid gold in the construction.
The best way to describe "Metal Core" items is to consider a modern hollow bangle which has been reinforced with another metal to prevent it denting - very high quality and will not wear like a modern electroplated one will.
Over many years my average yield of gold from cored items is 8.475%
For a 9ct item such as this that equates to the outer 22.6% being made of gold.
You would expect to pay between £300 and £500 for a bangle like this at a fancy antique shop, depending on your ability to hunt down a bargain.
If you purchase you will have choices at checkout regarding postage:
STANDARD post is not tracked or insured (at buyer's risk)
PREMIUM post is fully tracked and insured.
I guarantee all items to be as described and will accept a return on anything you are not happy with.
Please contact me directly via messaging should you wish to do this.
