Seller's Description
I believe that this is a vintage celluloid pin. It has a lapel pin type back. The Idaho potato measures 1 1/4" across. Idaho letters are gilt. Very good condition.
Luther Burbank developed the Idaho potato (Russet Burbank potato) in 1871. It was the potato which helped Ireland recover after the 1840-60 potato famine, being resistant to the fungus Phytophthora infestans.
