A Bit About Me:
I am 70 years young and had a 24 year career with the Royal Air Force. Primarily as an aircraft engineer on Phantom and Tornado, but in my final years as an Operations Manager of a large computer network.
Interests over the years have included Photography, Electronics, and Computers. In the years before the Internet I ran an online Bulletin Board System (BBS) under FidoNet [2:252/93]. This board was known as The Poacher due to my location in Lincolnshire*. The arrival of the Internet made a personal BBS largely redundant, both to operator and users, and so it faded away.
I have used the name Poacher with various projects down the years, particularly as a name under which to write Freeware and Shareware software. I would have liked to continue using the name but felt it might not exactly inspire confidence on online auction sites, so I adopted the name of Astral to buy and sell under instead. I have, for old times sake, kept the 'Poacher's Moon' logo.
