Hi,
My name is Mary Witsman and I have been operating an on-line store for over 5 years. I started in 2005 with an E-Bay Store and a few items that over the 5 years has grown to about 1900 items. I feel E-Bay has become too controlling over past 5 years and they have not allowed individual sellers (small business owners) enough freedom to conduct business in a manner that would best benefit them. The fees they are charging amount to well over 20% of the cost of every item., plus a monthly fee for having a store. I am currently paying about $500.00 a month to do business with E-Bay. So, due to continuous and increasing Rules, Regulations, Policy Changes and Increased Fees, I decided it was time for a change. I am excited to be opening a new store even though it will take me some time to switch everything over. Many of the items in this store are handcrafted by me and I do welcome custom, special orders. Please understand when ordering a handcrafted item, that it is made for you and will take a little more time to receive it, than something that is already in stock. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask prior to purchasing.
I am a Mother of 5 Girls, all of whom are grown. The oldest is 44 and the youngest is 19. I have 6 grandchildren, 4 boys and 2 girls. Our youngest grandson is a special needs toddler, having had a bi-lateral lung transplant when he was 4 months and 12 days old. He is now 18 months old and doing very well. We have to be very careful about his exposure to people who are sick and therefore he can't be in a day care situation, so I take care of him while his mother, our daughter goes to college and works. I have included his picture on this page. He is our Miracle Baby, being the youngest, successful, surviving lung transplant patient and the only CCAM (birth defect) transplant baby. We have constant fund raisers for Cameron and Caroline (his mother) as he has make periodical trips to Texas Children's Hospital in Houston, Texas for check-ups and is on continuous medication. You may see fund raiser inventory in my store. It will say "All proceeds go to help my grandson Cameron and his mother Caroline as he is a special needs toddler having had a bi-lateral lung transplant." All money from those sales go straight to my daughter through a joint Pay Pal account I have set up for her. to help with ongoing expenses she has with Cameron.
I also teach Beginning to Intermediate Piano Instruction in my home and enjoy doing that very much.
STORE POLICIES:
It is always my intention to offer you the best service possible and I want you to be satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason, you are not. please let me know. I try very hard to keep the cost of my merchandise at a reasonable amount and most of my shipping is calculated depending on your location.
I usually ship within 48 hours of receiving a payment, unless it is a personal check. In that case, it will take 10 business days to clear the bank before it is ready to ship.
I do ship internationally, however all communication must be in English and all payments must be made through Pay Pal. The buyer is in charge of paying all customs fees.
ENJOY a $1.00 Handling Fee On All Items In This Store. Multiple Purchases of 2 or more made at the same time will receive a discount equal to paying NO handling fees or $1.00 of each item that is purchased.
